Booking the best male strippers sounds simple enough — pick a guy, pay a deposit, done. But there are a handful of small decisions that make the difference between a great night and an awkward one. Here's everything we tell our own clients before they book.
None of this is complicated, but it's exactly the stuff that gets overlooked when you're juggling a venue, a guest list and a bride who keeps changing her mind about the theme. Run through this list before you lock in a date and you'll avoid basically every awkward moment we've ever seen.
If you've picked a specific performer from his photos, make sure the agency guarantees that's who actually turns up — and get that in writing. Plenty of operators will happily take your booking and send whoever's free on the night instead, and by the time the doorbell rings it's too late to do anything about it. Browse our male strippers and choose someone specific if it matters to your group — it's a completely reasonable thing to ask for.
Nudity varies performer to performer — some go the full Monty for the whole room, others keep it to the bride only. If it matters to your group either way, ask before you book, not on the night. It's a completely normal question to ask and no reputable agency will think twice about answering it directly.
Classic cop, fireman and cowboy routines are popular for a reason, but if your bride has a favourite film, sport or celebrity, ask what's available — a lot of our guys have more than one costume up their sleeve. A stripper works brilliantly as a pre-drinks warm-up to get everyone loud before you head out, or as a late-night energy boost once the group's flagging. Think about which one your night actually needs before you lock in a time. As a rough guide, most groups doing dinner and then heading out later book their performer somewhere between the two — loud enough to set the tone, early enough that nobody's already too tired to enjoy it.
Your booking fee is paid upfront to secure the date — the rest is paid directly to your stripper in cash on the night. Have it ready before he arrives so nobody's digging through handbags mid-show. It's worth nominating one person in advance to collect a few dollars from everyone earlier in the evening, rather than trying to sort it out at the door.
Funny and cheeky, or full send and sexy? Every performer can read a room, but a quick heads-up on what your group's actually after helps him tailor the show rather than guess. If you've got a mixed-age group with a nana or two in attendance, it's worth mentioning that too — most of our guys are happy to dial things back a notch.
Some brides love being the sole focus. Others would rather he spread the attention across the whole group. Let him know which one you want — he'll happily do either, but it's much easier for him to plan the routine if he knows in advance rather than reading the room cold.
A "noise complaint" cop or a fireman "checking the sprinklers" adds a genuine surprise factor if the bride has no idea what's coming — ask if your chosen performer offers it. This works best when only the organiser knows what's actually happening, so keep it to yourself until he's at the door.
For a 21st, a 40th or a particularly wild hens night, two strippers performing together takes things up a notch — more energy, more photos, more to talk about afterwards. If you're hosting somewhere licensed rather than a private home or hotel room, check the venue is comfortable with full nudity — some aren't, and it's better to know in advance. A quick call to the venue manager before you book saves an awkward conversation on the night.
Your stripper will call ahead when he's on his way, so make sure someone's got their phone on them around the booking time. It's also worth double-checking your address and contact number when you book — a performer who can't find you or reach you is one of the most avoidable reasons a booking goes sideways.
